Cordon in place as man remains handcuffed to gates of Buckingham Palace with 'self-inflicted slash injuries'
Cordons remained in place outside Buckingham Palace on Thursday night after a man handcuffed himself to the gates.
He then handcuffed himself to the gates before threatening to harm himself, as a number of Met Police officers remained at the scene trying to talk to the man and resolve the incident.In an update almost four hours later, at 9pm, the force said the man remained handcuffed to the front gates with 'a number of self-inflicted slash injuries' and a large cordons in place around the area.
