Emergency crews were alerted to a report of a man having a 'corrosive substance' thrown at him at a property in Hamilton.The 51-year-old was taken to Hairmyres Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Officers have arrested a 45-year-old man in connection with the alleged incident and they are continuing to investigate what happened.spokesperson said: “Around 1.50pm on Saturday, July 22, officers were called to an address in Allanshaw Gardens, Hamilton following a report of a man having a corrosive substance thrown at him.
“Emergency services attended, and the 51-year-old was taken to Hairmyres Hospital in East Kilbride for treatment.The Scottish Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
