The 63-year-old man was rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment after being seriously assaulted in Balloch at around 2pm on Saturday, September 9.

Officers at Police Scotland are now appealing for information following the assault. They are keen to trace a man aged between 30-40 and described as being stocky in build. He was wearing a fishing-style hat and was in the company of a young male wearing a similar style hat. Detective Constable Nic Neeson of CID Clydebank said: “We are keen to trace the man described and the young male he was with. I also appeal to anyone who was in the area and witnessed this incident to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting 2894 of 19 September, 2023."
