BREAKING: Man seriously injured after 'altercation' near pub with three men arrested

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after an 'altercation' near a pub on Cheetham Hill Road.

He was taken to hospital where he remains for treatment. Three men - aged between 24 and 30 - have been arrested on suspicion of assault.They remain in custody to be quizzed by detectives. The Manchester Evening News understands the incident was not believed to be a stabbing. Detectives and uniformed officers have been pictured on the scene, with investigations being carried out within the cordon. The cordon also extends onto Bent Street, behind the pub and shops.
