The victim is understood to have suffered stab wounds
Ambulance crews attended and the 44-year-old man was taken to hospital.Officers cordoned off the scene while they carried out enquiries following the attack. Police are now appealing for information.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.15am on Saturday, March 25, police received a report a man had been assaulted in New Inn Entry, Dundee.
