Officers swooped on the Haghill area of the city around 1.30am today
A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries and two people have been arrested after an alleged 'stabbing' in Glasgow's East End in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The streets have been closed off to vehicles and pedestrians by cops while officers investigate. The man was rushed to the city's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to be treated. Pictures from the scene show a cordon at the entrance to a corner block of flats at the junction of Aitken Street and Walter Street. Officers are understood to be on guard within two stairwells within the cordon.
The witness said there were at least four police cars in the area, while another said they saw up to seven vehicles patrolling the area.
