The occupants managed to escape unharmed
An arsonist will be sentenced on December 16 after starting a fire at a house in Mansfield Woodhouse. Defendant Declan Gilluley, 26, of Cox's Lane, Mansfield Woodhouse, pleaded guilty to reckless arson at a previous Nottingham Crown Court hearing.
He was due to learn his fate regarding sentencing on Friday but the matter was put back to the December date. The probation service need to prepare a report to deal with the question of dangerousness and will read a psychiatric report. Judge Mark Watson reserved the matter to himself for sentencing.
Nottinghamshire Live had reported how the fire broke out on a quiet residential street with a family still inside. It happened at a house in Cox's Lane in Mansfield Woodhouse shortly before 5.30am on Friday, October 22, last year. Three adults and two children were reported to have been inside the property at the time but managed to escape unharmed.
