Police are appealing for more information

The furniture item was reportedly lifted from Maxwells Cafe Bar on King Street at around 1.20am on Tuesday and carried away by a man on foot. According to police, the table was then smashed near to the bus interchange a short walk away.Officers today issued CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the alleged theft and criminal damage. Anyone who recognises the man pictured is asked to come forward.

A police spokesperson said: "At approximately 01:20hrs on 27th December a table was taken from outside Maxwells Café Bar on King Street Clitheroe, it was then smashed near to the bus interchange just further along Railway View Road. CCTV from the premises has shown the male in the stills as responsible.

"If you have any information regarding the identity of the male in the CCTV please can you contact Sgt 498 Hall on 101 quoting log number LC-20221228-0455, or email [email protected] We are aware that the images are not the best quality but we are hoping that someone will be able to identify this man."
