A man who fell over 70ft from a steep crag sparked a four hour rescue mission on Christmas Eve.
Members of the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team rushed to the scene to help the man who had come to rest against a tree.Rescuers set up a rope system to help in getting down to him and to later carry him back up. ‘As the casualty’s location being on a steep, muddy hillside they set up a rope system to help in getting down to him and to later carry him back up.
‘From there he was carried by other Team members to the waiting air ambulance for onward transport to hospital. We wish him well for his recovery.’
