Nicholas Meikle, 26, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court after being caught with the scissors in Glasgow Queen Street train station on February 8, last year.
On Thursday, the procurator fiscal depute said: “The accused was found collapsed within the toilets of Queen Street station by a member of rail staff.“Police were advised of this. The prosecutor added: “The accused was asked prior to the search if had anything he shouldn’t have. He produced from the waistband of his trousers a pair of large scissors.“He was thereafter arrested, cautioned and charged and replied, ‘I’m sorry’. He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary due to his demeanour.”
The sheriff addressed Meikle and told him: “I have concerns about what you said to the social worker as to why you had the scissors.
