A man armed with a hatchet has killed four children and injured at least three others in an attack on a nursery in Brazil.
He said that security forces are already on the scene, adding: “I leave here my full solidarity. May God comfort the hearts of all families in this moment of deep pain.”The state’s firefighters unit confirmed the man attacked with a hatchet and that three children were taken to hospital while Hospital Santo Antonio said four children aged under two were being treated there.
Local security chief, Marcio Alberto Filippi, told reporters the attacker gained access to the private school by scaling its walls.
