easyJet, Ryanair and British Airways have issued statements as passengers get stuck at Manchester and Liverpool airports - as well as other airports across the country
Anyone travelling to or from the UK on bank holiday Monday is being hit by major delays because of a UK airspace technical fault.
The failure has affected a number of flights departing and arriving into the UK, with those travelling from Liverpool and Manchester badly affected, reports the Manchester Evening News. "All affected passengers will receive a notification advising of their options to change free of charge to another Ryanair flight or receive a full refund.
"If you are already onboard one of our planes waiting to take off then our crew will keep you updated. If you are in one of our airports waiting to board then please continue to check the flight information screens in the terminal and we will provide further updates on flight tracker. Any customers affected by delays and disruption to their flight will receive email and sms information direct to the contact details provided at the time of booking.
