Well done!
A trio of Manchester footballers have helped the England amputee national team to their first trophy since 1989 by winning the inaugural Nations League in Krakow, Poland.
“It’s absolutely incredible, it’s a real proud moment for the team,” head coach Scott Rogers told the Manchester Evening News. “One of our big remits is trying to raise the profile of the game and that’s what we’re trying to do all the time. Winning tournaments like this will help us to do that.” “It has [given me a new lease of life],” he told MEN Sport. “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done. Even though I’ve lost my leg, I’ve reached my goal of representing my country, travelling around the world playing football and in big tournaments.”
