All the essential information you need on the 13.1 mile route through the city taking place on Sunday 15 October
The Manchester Half Marathon is back for another year with thousands of runners set to take to the streets. On Sunday October 15, an estimated 16,000 runners will put their best foot forward and take on the 13.1 mile route.
Below, you'll find all the key information, from collecting your runners pack and start times, to the latest travel updates and the route that this year's race will take. In the event you are unable to collect your pack, someone else can collect it on your behalf with a signed note providing permission from the original registrant. The original registrant must still run in the event.
If you’re arriving at Oxford Road train station, you will need to make the short walk to St Peter’s Square tram stop, where you can also get a tram. The race route requires a significant number of road closures across the Sunday, so organisers have strongly advised against driving as there will be a lot of congestion. If you do drive, parking at Manchester United is now sold out, but there are some other Park & Ride options.
What is the route? The route changes made in 2022 allowed the route to cover more areas of Manchester than ever before. The start and finish area as in previous years will be near Old Trafford, and this year, once again, the Manchester Half will cruise into the city centre.
