Here are Manchester Metropolitan University's current and future semester dates
Universities have opened their doors for a new academic year, with students across the country flocking to Greater Manchester to start, or continue, their degrees.
For freshers, it's an exciting time as many get to know a new city - and for international students, a new country - as they embark on the next chapter of their lives. Greater Manchester is home to some 120,000 students and boasts one of the largest student populations in Europe. Our region has a number of universities, including Manchester Metropolitan University. Each year, early arrivals are usually welcome to settle in before September's Induction Week gets started.Then, students are eased into their new courses for 12 weeks before the arrival of a much-anticipated Christmas break.
