The new city centre spot will be the fourth site for the southern Italian kitchen
A popular pasta restaurant which became embroiled in a social media feud over the use of its name is set to launch a new eatery.
Exhibition, a 6,000sqft concept comprising three independent kitchens, two bars, and dedicated exhibition spaces for local artists is situated within the Grade II listed St George’s House and sits on the site of the 1817 Peterloo Massacre, the old Museum of Natural History. It was the place where the body of Hannah Beswick was found.
“Three great kitchens, one beautiful building in the heart of Manchester and the chance to cook and serve some of our stone-cold classic dishes - what’s not to love about that!?” Michael and Alex de Martiis started their business in 2015 and have three Sud Pasta sites , across Greater Manchester in Ancoats, Altrincham and Sale. Despite opening several years ago, the pasta pros became involved in a social media dispute with the other Sugo in Scotland when the Glasgow restaurant applied to trademark the name Sugo in 2017.
