A 21-year-old woman has been charged after a memorial to Captain Sir Tom Moore was allegedly defaced. Madeleine Budd, of Manchester, was arrested by officers from the Metropolitan Police on behalf of Derbyshire Police on Sunday, October 2.
It follows an incident at the statue of the NHS fundraiser at Thistley Meadow in the village of Hatton in south Derbyshire.Ms Budd, of Kedleston Avenue, Longsight, has now been charged with criminal damage Derbyshire Police confirmed in a statement issued this afternoon .
