. During Solomon’s 2022-23 season at Fulham, the number of Israeli flags around Craven Cottage markedly increased, something which could cause tension between Spurs supporters and the club. In May 2021, an Israeli flag was confiscated from a fan by a Tottenham Hotspur Stadium steward, and the club confirmed it had been taken in line with their policy, which has not changed.
“The minute he signed with Fulham, the requests from different sporting tour companies in Israel to watch a Fulham game went up 1000-fold. Now he’s at Tottenham, that’s going to rise 2000, even 3000-fold. There’s an incentive for anyone to go to London and see him play. It wasn’t easy to get Fulham kits, it’s a hell of a lot easier to get Tottenham kits.”
