An investigation is launched into two fires which destroyed West Yorkshire moorland.
Ranger teams found destroyed bird nests and burnt frogs during searches of the site, the National Trust saidTen crews were called to the fires on Marsden Moor on 20 April.
The first fire at Old Mount Road, which was extinguished at around 18:20 BST, covered an area of 0.9 miles by 0.3 miles . "Purposely starting a wildfire can be devastating to the environment and wildlife, and could ultimately put people's lives at risk."
