There are mass casualties after a shooting in Lewiston, Maine, with the gunman said to be still at large.
Police said they are investigating 'two active shooter events' and people have been warned to take shelter. 'We are encouraging all businesses to lock down and or close while we investigate,' the sheriff's office said. Authorities released two pictures showing a gunman walking into an establishment with a rifle raised to his shoulder and asked for help identifying him.
A local hospital said it was dealing with a 'mass casualty, mass shooter event' but didn't give precise numbers. President Biden is said to have been briefed on the situation.
