A look at the latest Leeds United transfer rumours
Leeds United were intent on strengthening their right-back position this summer and thought they'd secured a two-time promotion winner in Max Aarons. The former Norwich City full-back was pencilled in for a medical at Elland Road, with a Daniel Farke reunion on the cards.
The duo worked together at Carrow Road and have a good working relationship, but Premier League side Bournemouth swooped in at the 11th hour to lure the right-back to the south coast. Aarons paid respect to Farke after the move, but it hasn't gone as the former Canary would have liked.According to WhoScored.com, who have shared a starting XI of their lowest rated new signings across this season, Aarons has the lowest score of the lot. The Cherries right-back has a rating of 6.
Leeds United confirm loan exit as young goalkeeper joins up with non-league outfit Leeds United academy goalkeeper Darryl Ombang has joined up with local non-league outfit Ossett United on loan. Ombang will make the move to Ossett on an initial one-month loan deal, where he will be looking to pick up valuable experience of playing men’s football.
The Ramicorns currently play in the Northern Premier League Division One East, the eighth tier of English football, and they’ll be hoping the addition of Ombang can help them push up the table and away from the relegation zone. Ombang, who is just 18, has been a part of Michael Skubala’s Under-21s squad this season, but he has made just one league appearance so far, with his only run out coming in the 3-2 loss to Reading last month.
He has watched the remaining five league games the Whites have played from the bench, with the likes of Dani van den Heuvel and Harry Christy getting the nod ahead of him. However, the former England Under-17 international played regularly last season for the Whites, making 16 appearances at U18 level, while also getting a run out for the U21s in the 5-2 win over Derby County on the opening day of last season.
