Max Verstappen snaps front wing after crashing into pitlane in rare error

Formula 1 championship leader Max Verstappen made the rarest of gaffes by crashing in the pitlane.

The reigning world champion made the relatively unheard of error during qualifying at the British Grand Prix, and snapped the front wing of his car.Luckily for the Dutchman, the session was red flagged at the time, allowing him to fit a new front wing and stay safe.Speaking on team radio, he said: "I just under-steered, it didn't grip."
