It's a very exciting time at the farm park
Marketing manager Anthony Moore said: “It was only a couple weeks ago we opened our new exotic exhibition, Reptiles of the World; we are the only place in the East Midlands to have crocodiles. Although we’re still White Post Farm, we are very much a zoo now.“The crocs are amazing. We have 14 foot Burmese pythons, we’ve got a range of birds of prey including a Golden Eagle, things like wallabies, of course armadillos, a very rare cloud rat.
“There’s porcupines and meerkats. As well as all the things that people think of when they think it’s a farm, our friendly goats, sheep and the cows, we’re full of exotics now as well - a very exciting time.”as one of its latest additions to the zoo. The seven-week-old baby armadillo is the first exotic mammal that has been bred and reared by the exotics team.
White Post Farm is now appealing for people to help name the baby armadillo which was born on May 12. Visitors can suggest names for the latest arrival on the White Post Farm Facebook page where the team are checking the comments everyday for names.
