MeghanMarkle's name changed on Archie's birth certificate 'by the Palace'
Meghan Markle ’s name was altered on her son Archie’s birth certificate, in an unusual move reportedly "dictated by the Palace".
Author Omid Scobie tweeted a statement "from a spokesperson for Duchess Meghan", which read: "The change of name on public documents in 2019 was dictated by the Palace, as confirmed by documents from senior Palace officials. This was not requested by Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex nor by the Duke of Sussex."
The Duke of Sussex, 38, even opened up about Meghan’s pregnancies and set the record straight about Archie's birth, after conflicting reports were published at the time. Meghan gave birth to their son at Portland Hospital in Westminster, London and, as told by Harry in his memoir, the couple returned home to Frogmore Cottage with the help of a nondescript people carrier just two hours after Archie's birth.
Meghan opted to give birth at Portland Hospital rather than St Mary's Hospital, where other Royals, such as Kate Middleton, welcomed their children.
