Mental health hubs set up during the Covid pandemic to help NHS staff could be scrapped
The hubs were launched in 2021 to give staff “who have pushed their minds and bodies to the limit over the last year” a place to seek support, according to the NHS. claimed in May that 13 have since shut, with a further seven facing imminent closure.
In response to a parliamentary question on whether cash for the remaining hubs will continue, health minister Will Quince said that “a final decision is yet to be made on the funding of these hubs for 2023/24”.
