Beautiful Merseyside beach slammed for its 'cold sea' and being sandy
There's no shortage of areas to drink in stunning views of Merseyside's enviable coastline, with beaches in Crosby, Formby, Ainsdale, and New Brighton, to name but a few. There's something to suit all needs, with some beaches akin to quaint seaside towns reminiscent of days gone by, and others offering huge expanses of golden sand ideal for long, leisurely strolls.
This is in stark contrast to the many five star reviews the beach has received on the site. One fan said: "Had a lovely day on the prom & beach with the grandchildren, cycling, picnic & building sandcastles, lots of fun bat & ball. We would recommend to friends and family". Another dubbed it a "hidden gem" and said: "I live in Wallasey and go here regularly to walk the dogs. A beautiful expanse of clean beach - keep it that way please. Popular all year round with a prom the goes for miles for walking or biking."
