Strong winds and heavy rain have been forecast
Gusts of up to 65mph and heavy rain are expected to hit the North West on Wednesday, the Met Office has warned. A yellow weather warning has been extended and now covers most of northern England and the Welsh Coast.
It’s likely that there will be delays to travel under the yellow weather warning, with some journeys expected to take longer. There could also be loss of power and disruption to some services.Although Manchester is not covered by the warning, those who are commuting can expect to be impacted. An initial weather warning was extended to cover the North East with strong gusts forecast on high ground.
