The heatwave was brought to an end last night with heavy rain and thunderstorms across the UK
Forecasters are predicting that Tuesday will be a warm, humid day with sunshine and showers, which occasionally are heavy or thundery. Met Office spokesman Stephen Dixon there will be heavy rain overnight, moving from the south of England to the North East.supports HTML5 video
