It's going to be a warm one

The Met Office has issued a health warning ahead of an expected heatwave over the next few days, with an alert in place for Nottinghamshire. The county has a level two heat health alert, and the probability of a heatwave is currently 70 percent.

The advice given for a level two alert says: "This is an important stage for social and healthcare services who will be working to ensure readiness and swift action to reduce harm from a potential heatwave. Hot weather can be dangerous, especially for the very young or very old or those with chronic disease.

Other parts of the UK could reach temperatures of 33C, and have a higher level three heat health alert in place.
