The forecaster said that flooding of homes and businesses could happen quickly
A yellow weather warning is in place for Northern Ireland tomorrow with the Met Office saying that heavy showers could cause flooding and travel disruption.
Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.The forecaster has also warned that some communities might become cut off if roads flood and that power cuts might occur while other services to some homes and businesses could be lost.
“Those showers continue to rumble on through Sunday evening, some heavy bursts possible but they do ease by the end of the day," he said. “We will see a risk an increasing risk of some heavy rain through western parts of the UK, a little bit of uncertainty over where this main band of rain will end up by Monday afternoon.
