A thunderstorm warning has been in Northamptonshire by the Met Office despite an expected heat surge. The yellow weather warning is in force for areas of the county between 2pm and 10pm on Saturday, June 10.
The Met Office weather warning states: "While many places will be largely dry, thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail are likely to develop in some places on Saturday afternoon. "Despite all of this, many places in the warning area will remain dry, or only see small amounts of rain, due to the well scattered nature of the heaviest showers."
Yellow: The lowest of the three. Yellow means you should plan ahead about potential disruption to travel and other day-to-day activities. These are the most common.
