The warning for heavy rain has been issued from 8pm on Thursday, August 10 to 2am on Friday, August 11, affecting the majority of Northern Ireland, particularly in the east of the country.
Prior to the heavy downpours, the Met Office has said that it will be cloudy throughout the day on Thursday, with some brighter spells in the afternoon and temperatures reaching highs of 24 degrees. The yellow weather warning is to extend into the early hours of Friday morning with it drying up by daybreak. Although further downpours and possible thunderstorms could be likely for the remainder of the day.
