You'll soon be able to put your brollies away...
The last few days have been a washout - as fans who braved the two-day Splendour Festival at Wollaton Park will attest to. And the showers have continued into the start of the week.
But the good news - or bad news for Splendour fans who'll say it's a week too late - is that sunnier, drier weather is upon us. Met Office forecasters predict Sunday to be the best day of the week in Nottingham. With highs of 20C, they say there'll be sunny intervals from 7am which will turn to cloud by the evening. But a dry and warm day is in store for those looking forward to the best of the days ahead.Based on the latest Met Office forecast for the immediate days ahead, the rest of Tuesday is expected to be cloudy with a chance of rain by 3pm and sunny spells into the afternoon.
There's a chance of rain on Thursday morning but some sunny spells are given out from 1pm onwards. Friday's due to be mainly overcast and Saturday cloudy, changing to light showers by late morning.
