Former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan has released a new collection with online retailer Very but had to hit back after a fan left an 'offensive' comment about her body
Michelle Keegan has hit back at an “offensive” body shaming comment which was left after she shared a recent carousel of images showcasing her new collection with Very.
But among the positive and excited comments from heaps of fans, one person was less than impressed and said: “You need to show this collection on a real size woman not a size 6”, to which Michelle hit back: “you need to get off my page and stop writing such ignorant and offensive comments”. Fans flocked to support and praise the talented actress’ comments. One simply said: “well said”, while another penned: “I’m a size 6/8 but very much an alive and real woman, offensive to suggest otherwise. Wanting to see the clothes on someone your own size is one thing, but no need to dehumanise the women who aren’t the same as yourself”.
And another commented: “what’s a real woman? Women come in all sizes. How insulting”. Michelle’s new collection includes an eclectic mix of stylish items from denim co-ords to dreamy holiday dresses and vibrant skirts.
