Football Insider has been told by sources that Millwall are in advanced talks to sign Bournemouth and Republic of Ireland star Mark Travers
sources have told Football Insider.
Travers joined Bournemouth ahead of the 2015-16 season after joining from Irish side Shamrock Rovers’ youth team. The goalkeeper would go on to make his Bournemouth debut in 2019 as he played against Tottenham and managed to keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 victory for the Cherries.has been on multiple loans, with his first stint being at Weymouth in 2017, where he managed to score on his debut and and go on to make 23 appearances throughout the campaign.
The Ireland goalkeeper would then go on his second loan to Swindon Town in 2021, where he made eight appearances before being recalled by his parent club. Travers has played for Ireland from under-15 to under-19 youth levels, and whilst a member of the under-21 team received his first call-up to the senior national team in March 2019.He made his first cap for the Republic of Ireland in September 2019 as he ensured a 3-1 victory for his side by starting between the sticks.
