🔴 It is 'possible' that China has flown spy balloons over the UK, a minister has admitted
He said it was “possible” that such objects could have flown over the UK, and described China as a “hostile state”.
“They’re not interested in our democratic values. They’re not interested in standing up for human rights around the world that we are.” Since the start of February, at least four have been identified over US and Latin American territories, according to the US government. He highlighted that the UK had accepted more than 100,000 people from Hong Kong who are fleeing Chinese persecution. He also raised concerns over the treatment of China’s Uyghur population, with the regime in Beijing standing accused ofMr Holden said: “China is a hostile state and we need to be aware of that and the way it acts and behaves. I think there’s an era when China could have gone a different way and perhaps opened up but it’s quite clear at the moment it’s not going in that direction.
