The City and defence procurement ministers are meeting executives from BAE Systems and Babcock, along with the boss of the fund managers' trade body, amid concerns about the approach to investing in defence companies, Sky News learns

A Treasury source said the objective of the meeting was to understand whether ESG factors were acting as a barrier to investment in the defence industry, and how the government might be able to help overcome these barriers.
