Listeners had quite the wake up this morning
Radio 4 listeners had quite the wake-up this morning after actress Miriam Margolyes launched into an expletive outburst about the new Chancellor.
She was to be followed by a feature on the new Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt. Mr Hunt was appointed to the post yesterday, after PM Liz Truss sacked Kwasi Kwarteng from the role after just 38 days. However, Ms Margolyes did not just limit her comments to the beloved late actor she was appearing on the show to speak about. Her comments about Mr Hunt have gone viral.
She continued: “The thing is, when I saw him there, I just said ‘you’ve got a hell of a job, the best of luck!’ What I really wanted to say was f*** you! B*****d! But you can’t say that.”
