This looks like a pretty neat product.
Italian manufacturer of bikepacking bags, Miss Grape, introduces its new ILCOSO handlebar bag support that’s designed for use with flat or drop bars. After four years of design, development, and testing, this lightweight, modular is not just a “product, but a solution”.
ILCOSO is made from PA6 polyamide giving it a combination of compliance and strength while remaining lightweight. The use of polyamide during the construction allows the ICOSO to be safely mounted on carbon or aluminum handlebars. The tube that holds the accessories is made of anodized aluminum.Miss Grape states a weight of 320g for the ILCOSO, including long clamps, the accessory tube, and bag holder straps.
This bag is said to address some of the common issues that other handlebar bags deal with, like cable routing, hand space, contact with the wheel, and compatibility with carbon bars. It places the bag close to the headtube, which Miss Grape says improves steering by moving the load under the stem, where there is the “most space and least bulk”.
Offering a convenient spot for your instrumentation like your computer, light, bell, or phone, removes all of the bar clutter that could hinder hand placement. All of this, Miss Grape says, “ensures safety and provides a stable, and secure load that does not obstruct visibility of the front wheel”
