Moment bystanders save woman from thug who 'tried to drown her' in fountain
THIS is the shocking moment a man who tried to drown a woman in a public fountain was beaten senseless by rescuers.
The 52-year-old man - now facing attempted murder charges - had been cooling off in the water with the woman on August 9.The man believed she was involved in the theft of his mobile phoneBut when a passerby offered to take their picture at the park in Valencia, Spain, he fled when the man handed him his mobile phone.
Local media reported that he thought the woman was in on the theft and tried to drown her in the fountain. Phone footage of the drama shows the shirtless thug - who appears to be drunk - holding the woman by her hair, forcing her head down to the water.
