A 70-year-old man from Much Wenlock is to appear before a judge charged with a series of alleged sexual offences committed against young girls under the age of 16 that allegedly took place more than 30 years ago.
Alan Austin of Bourton has been charged with three indecent assaults, one count of gross indecency and two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under 13 years of age.
Telford Magistrates Court heard on Wednesday that Mr Austin is alleged to have committed the offences against three girls between January 1990 and March 1994. He was granted unconditional bail to appear before Shrewsbury Crown Court on August 9 where he will enter a plea on the six charges.
