The woman was frustrated after her husband told her to spend her day off doing household chores
A mum has been left feeling like an 'absolute fool' after her husband told her to do all of the housework on her day off work.
Taking to Mumsnet's Talk forum, the mum asked for advice. In a post titled 'Husband has decided that I can do all the housework', she wrote: "In disbelief and need to have a little rant. I've been having doubts for some while about whether to end my marriage or not."It's been hard work, too hard! Long story but I find him very self-centred and lazy and it appears to be getting worse.
"We have a three-year-old DD who I like to take to soft play and lunch on my day off, so it's not like a day off to myself. I already do 90% of the housework. It's me who makes sure all the bills are paid and holidays, birthdays and Christmas are sorted. Left here feeling like an absolute fool and ready to end this marriage for good."
Someone else added: "You're not at home with free time, you're looking after your young child! I am also part time with a toddler at home when I'm not at work and the house is generally worse on that day because I'm running around after them. You are not overreacting."
