A mother has denied Googling ‘how to kill a baby’ only moments before taking her lifeless newborn to a hospital.
Shauna Donnelly, 26, brought her son Ellis to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough on October 4, 2019, wrapped only in a dressing gown.A post-mortem examination proved inconclusive, with Donnelly later charged with her son’s murder.
Returning to court yesterday for Ellis’ inquest, Donnelly said she ‘came for answers’ and accused witnesses and medical workers of lying. Donnelly denied carrying out the online searches, claiming that the children she babysat for must have done so.To many of the questions, Donnelly outright rejected evidence or claimed she couldn’t remember the details of her son’s death.
