She has received lots of support
A mum has asked whether she is being unreasonable for not wanting her four-month-old daughter to see her grandparents without her. She said she'd had a sharp response from the child's grandmother after saying they 'weren't ready' for their daughter to be away from mum and dad just yet.
"My partner's step mum, who he classes as his mum, has asked if she can take our daughter out for a few hours to spend some time with her. We have said we are happy for her to come and visit her at our home or we would meet her for tea but would rather she didn't take her out without us until she's older .
The mum added that her partner works away a lot and wanted to spend as much time with his daughter as possible to form a bond. Other mums on the site were quick to show their support. "I do not understand this need to see a four-month-old baby without the parents around. It is not in the baby's best interest," another forum user replies.
