Angela Jarvis, whose daughter Abbie, was beaten unconscious in a skate park in Glasgow, has spoken out after another teen with autism was brutally attacked.
The mum of an autistic schoolgirl who was beaten unconscious in a skatepark in Glasgow has been left 'sickened' after an attack on another teenager with autism.
"As parents, we should be able to give our children free reign to live their lives without fear that they will be targeted because of their indifferences. You can't lock up a high-functioning autistic child, they still need independence and freedom but the fear is always there with a parent that has autistic child.
She said: "Tammi was covered in blood and bruises. She had black eyes. It was horrific. She was in severe pain and traumatised." "By doing that, their attackers knew they were vulnerable - it was always going to be a win for them, it's disgusting. It sets a scary precedent for families of kids who have autism.
