Police want people to come forward and 'tell them where Hadir Al-Enezi's body is'
On July 2nd 2019 a call from a refugee camp in Greece was received by Greater Manchester Police. In broken English a man explained a woman was missing.
Detectives have interviewed more than 20 members of Hadir's family in Greece and Sweden in an attempt to get a picture of her life and why it apparently ended so brutally. Today, GMP announced a reward of £50,000 for information leading to recovery of her body. In addition letters are to be posted to members of a specific ethnic minority in Manchester pleading for assistance.
Early on during the inquiry in October 2019, police searched a house under renovation on St George's Road, Stretford, as part of the investigation. It was suspected Hadir's body may have been buried there - but nothing was found. Uncovering any traces of Hadir's life while in the UK has been difficult. "We know she came into the country because she was spoken to by the immigration service, and she had a photograph taken of her, and her fingerprints taken. We have DNA from siblings, parents, and her daughter. We have a profile of her DNA but we don't have her DNA. "
