A Kirkham mural that celebrates the town's Roman roots has been shortlisted for an award which could see it crowned as the best in the entire world.
. Every month Street Art Cities selects some of the best murals across the globe and through a series of Instagram polls our audience picks their favorites. This is where artists Aylo Nomad and Seca One's mural comes in. The pair worked with residents to find inspiration for the piece, drawing on Kirkham’s Roman roots, the town’s famous fishstones, and its role in the industrial revolution to produce a design that spoke to Kirkham’s heritage and sparked conversation and storytelling amongst the town’s people.Aylo Nomad said: “[Seca and I] sought to create a piece that would be universally appealing and would make the town proud.
