I’d like to think I’m better at communicating now, in all aspects of my life. I try to be there and turn up for everyone when they need me and be present in a way that I wasn’t always before, to stop resentments building up. We lean on each other when we need to, talk about our deepest fears and our wildest dreams. We exist in a space that allows for vulnerability and honesty.
There is power in putting the same energy into our platonic friendships as we do our romantic ones. Many women accept that relationships will sometimes take work and effort, forgiveness and understanding. But I don’t think enough of us are willing to offer that same grace and empathy to our friends. And it’s a real shame.absolutelyit is worth at least considering repairing a damaged friendship. Having women in my life that I know uplift and support me, has been such a force for good in my life.
