'My Christmas was ruined after we had to wait an hour for 'soggy' £110 Toby Carvery dinner'
They added: "We were directed to our table but then had to wait another 10 minutes to be asked what we wanted for our starter and waited a further 10 minutes to receive it."The starter arrived which was pate and the greenery on the plate was wilted and not edible. Then we went to the counter for our carvery."
The couple said the selection at the counter "seemed to be fine" but they were shocked to find "the Yorkshire puddings were soggy, the roast potatoes had never seen the inside of an oven, the carrots were mushy and the beef was so chewy it also was inedible". By this point they said they were so late to pick up their grandkids they asked to take their pre-booked dessert and cheese board with them.Commenting on the Tripadvisor review, a general manager for the restaurant wrote: "Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience.A spokesperson for Toby Carvery said: “We strive to give all of our guests the best possible experience and we welcome any customer feedback.
