Finally, after years of mistreatment at the hands of her abusive family, Miyo got some retribution – in the most spectacular fashion, it's important to note.
Not satisfied by claiming the hand of the man Miyo had previously had affection for , Kaya's marriage motives changed when she learned of her sister's happiness and that Kiyoka might actually be a better catch.Episode six saw Kaya and her cruel mother Kanoko , attempt to force Miyo into giving up Kiyoka. When Miyo refused they beat her, trying to get her to promise she would tell Kiyoka she no longer wanted to marry him.
In truth, him scooping Miyo up from the ground and rebuffing Kaya's advances was a moment but it wasn'tIt was Miyo's simple rebellion that really deserves the recognition. Though showy and glossy and impressive, Kiyoka barely broke a sweat storming the Saimori house and defeating the heads of the Saimori and Tatsuishi family. For Miyo, however, the ability to fight for what she believed in was much, much harder.
